Advancing Encouragement By:

Obadiah: 1:17: But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.
What does this historical event of Obadiah have anything to do with the believers of Jesus Christ by him telling his readers from the fall of Judah was the rise of the Edomites in 586 B.C. and the Edomites were the descendants of Esau and Judah the descendants of Jacob verses 1-16? Jacob is the prophecy of the people of God whom He called to rise up after being delivered from the evil in the world into the Church of Jesus Christ called mount Zion. The Church of Jesus Christ will seize and take possession of everything that God has given the Church. Possess mean, to occupy (by driving out previous tenants, and possessing in their place); by implication, to seize, to inherit; also to expel, to impoverish, to ruin:--cast out, consume, destroy, disinherit, dispossess, enjoy, expel, without fail, take possession, seize upon, and succeed utterly, from the word yarash. The Church will possess their possessions which mean what is theirs for the taking because the Lord has already given it to the Church by providence and it is up to the Church to claim it and go get it in Jesus Name. The Church is to tear down, cast out, consume and to destroy without failure and to succeed utterly possessing what God has for His people. As a matter of fact this text has reference to Joel 2:32 which have reference to what Peter said on the day of Pentecost that is also said in the book of Joel; Joel 2: 28-32, Acts 2:17-21. What God has for His Church is for His Church that includes every baptized born again believer in Christ Jesus to take a stand against the evil in the world without fear, 2Timothy 1:7. This is the power that the Church possesses; Esau represents the evil that is in the world that will come too destruction and the remnant of God shall possess what He has already given to His Kingdom verses 18-20. Today my friend, hold your head up high if you belong to the Kingdom of God because you have a purpose in the possession of the Kingdom’s own possessions that has been laid out for His children. The Kingdom of God is rising up and you along with it so get ready to be apart and take what is yours, the possessions of the Kingdom of God is at hand too possess the Kingdom’s possessions in Jesus Name…
